HC reserves its order on shifting trial against Prabhunath

Patna, Aug 03 (UNI) Patna High Court today reserved its order on a petition seeking transfer of trials from Bhagalpur to other district in connection with four criminal cases pending against JD(U) MP Prabhunath Singh.

Justice Navin Sinha passed the order on four separate petitions filed by former MLA Tarkeshwar Singh.

The court had clubbed all these four separate petitions seeking similar relief.

Counsel of the petitioners alleged that the presiding judge and public prosecutor of the court in Bhagalapur were biased and hence the fair trials were not possible.

While opposing the plea of petitioner, the counsel of JD(U) MP submiited before the court that all witnesses in the related cases had given their statements before the trial court and there was no justification in shifting of the trials from Bhagalpur at this stage.

Khandu urges Army to maintain cordial relation with people

SDM sodomises minor in MP

Panna, MP, Aug 3 (UNI) A case was registered today against a sub-divisional magistrate, posted at this district's Gunour, for allegedly sodomising a 11-year-old student, police said. On July 24, SDM S N Tiwari summoned the victim to his bungalow on the pretext of issuing a caste and residence proof certificate and targeted him during the night. In the morning, the accused handed Rs 150 to the boy and told him not to mention the matter.....

AAI plans aerobridge at Vadodara airport

Vadodara, Aug 3 (UNI) The Airport Authority of India (AAI) will be spending nearly Rs 120 crore to build an aerobridge at the airport, near Harni here, that will carry passengers straight from the gate to inside the plane. Such aerobridges would come up in 18 airports in the country, of which work in four airports would be taken up on a priority basis. Vadodara is the first of the four airports that would have aerobridges built.....
