Death toll due to Gastroenterties rises to two

Gulbarga, Aug 3 (UNI) The death toll due to gastroenterties in Kakere Village in the District has risen to two today with the death of a Gram Panchayat member.

The condition of seven persons was said to be critical.

As many as 250 people developed vomiting sensation on August One due to drinking of contaminated water. A 12 year-old boy died yesterday and a 45-year-old Gram Panchayat member died today.

The condition of seven patients said to be critical and were admitted in various hospitals.

Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pande, confirming the death, told UNI that the dead ignored Doctor's advise and went back to their homes despite their condition were critical. The villagers consumed contaminated water which led to the spread of the epidemic.

Special medical teams had been rushed to the village to treat the patients.

Ancient temple mahant murdered

Fake currency racket busted, 4 arrested

Lucknow, Aug 3 (UNI) Police has busted a fake currency racket with the arrest of four persons and seizure of a large quantity of illegal tender in the naxal-infested Sonebhadra district.
