BJP reviewing alliance with Sena

Bhopal, Aug 3 (UNI) BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde today said that review was underway to determine the future of the party's alliance with the Shiv Sena.

''First, the Sena supported Congress candidate Pratibha Patil in the recent presidential poll and is now bringing up (Union Agriculture Minister) Sharad Pawar's name for the Prime Minister's post,'' he told journalists here.

A Maharashtra-level committee was constituted for the review.

HP waives permit for carriages carrying apples and potatoes

Shimla, Aug 3 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has waived the permit condition for goods carriages for transportation of apples and potatoes for the next three months from August one, an official spokesman today said. The waiver condition would be from August one up till October 31 and would only be available to carriages of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and UT Chandigarh, he said in a release here. Trade unions demand ICF to stop outsourcing

Chennai, Aug 3 (UNI) Members of the various trade unions, including ICF Karmik Sangh, ICF Labour Union, led by Karmik Sangh Additional General Secretary K Loganathan staged a slogan shouting demonstration before the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Administrative Office here today.
