Apar Industries secures Rs 111.50 cr export orders

New Delhi, Aug 3: Apar Industries Ltd, specialty oils and aluminium conductor maker, today said it has bagged export orders worth Rs 111.50 crore for aluminium conductors from North Africa and Kazakhstan-based Trunk-Key Operators.

The orders will not only fill the gap caused due to slow down in the release of continuous orders from Power Grid Corporation Ltd, a large domestic player, but also further strengthen the order book position of company's conductor division, a company statement said.

Apar's operates in the diverse fields of electrical metallurgical and chemical engineering.

The company offers value added products and services in power transmission conductors, Petroleum Specialities and Synthetic Rubbers. Its conductor division is the leading producers of powerline aluminium and alloy conductors in Asia with strategic partnership with ABB and other global majors for power transmission projects.

Qaeda NAfrica wing claims Algeria attacks

Dellys, Algeria, Sep 9: Al Qaeda's north Africa wing said it was behind two suicide attacks that killed at least 50 people in Algeria in the past two days, Al Jazeera television said.
