Ajit Pal feels foreign coach can lift Indian hockey

Patiala, Aug 3: India's legendary centre-half in hockey, Ajit Pal Singh has advocated that Indian hockey which was in a pathetic state needed a top foreign coach.

"We have tried all options without success, so what is the harm if we have a foreign coach for the good of Indian hockey," he said in a chat with UNI

Hyderabad, July 8: Hockey and Kabaddi have beeen scrapped while polo will be showcased in an exhibition match in the 4th World Military Games to be held here from October 14 to 21. ''Because of lack of participation from the member countries, hockey and kabaddi have been scrapped,'' Col Sanjay Khanna, media and publicity in-charge, World Military Games, told journalists on the occasion to mark the 100-day countdown of the Games. He said an exhibition match of polo would be played on.....
