Nashik, Aug 3: The Ambad Industries and Manufacturers Association (AIMA), one of the apex bodies of all industries in Nashik, announced that its triennial event, AIMA Index 2008, will be held in January next year.
AIMA president Dhananjay Bale said, the industrial exhibition will be held from January 9 to 14 at the Dongare Vastigriha ground.
The stalls in the exhibition will include-electrical, electronics, IT and office automation, rubber, plastic, real estate, financial services and consumer goods.
AIMA expects 1.5 to 2 lakh visitors to turn up for the exhibition providing a good opportunity to various industries, service providers and traders to exhibit their products and make available a platform for direct interaction between buyers and sellers, Bale added.
A booklet of the exhibition was also released by Nashik Municipal Corporation, Deputy Mayor Ajay Baraste on the occasion.
The proposed Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Sinnar is going to increase the competition for Nashik industrialists, so events like AIMA Index 2008 will provide them opportunity to exhibit their products which will benefit their business, Barsate informed, .
He also appealed the industrial fraternity to suggest a land for setting up a permanent Trade Fair Centre at Nashik.
Various industrialists and professionals including Nashik Industries Manufacturers Association (NIMA) president Nishikant Ahire were also present on the occasion.
