Manipur: Army organizes national integration tour

Imphal, Jul 27: To promote development of children and students of the region, the Army in Churachandpur district are organising National Integration Tours, provided financial aid to the needy and deserving students and organised medical and dental camps.

This was undertaken under the aegis of 27 Sector Assam Rifles.

The Assam Rifles PRO today said the team will visit Darjeeling, Gangtok and Siliguri. The excursion team comprising 13 boys and seven girls would visit Darjeeling, Gangtok, Pangangshu, Tsango Lake, Nathula, Kalimpong and Silchar within ten days.

Besides visiting these tourist spots, they would also be interacting with various senior military and civil personnel. This would be for the first time that the students are visiting places outside their state.

Moreover, 27 Sector Assam Rifles is also conducting dental check up and dental hygiene campaigns for students of various schools of the district to improve the relation between the people and the Army in this insurgency-affected state, the PRO said.
