Tourism officials here today said Bangladesh had expressed interest in Tripura's tourism sector to explore its potential. As part of the programme, the team would visit the tourist spots of the state and meet the tourism officials as well as the private parties.
After visiting Tripura, they would leave for Shillong on July 27.
Later, they would also visit some selected ports of West Bengal for exploring tourism business and investment prospect.
Tripura has tremendous potential for development of tourism, including eco-tourism based on wildlife, green forests as well as historical places. Tripura has 27 demarcated tourism spots at present, officials added.
