Yediyurappa prefers silence over transfer of power

Bangalore, July 21: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today said he will maintain silence over the confusion prevailing on the transfer of power to BJP from its coalition partner JD(S).

Mr Yediyurappa told reporters here today that he would not speak now as instructed by his national leaders. "They have asked me not to make any comments on the reports that there were some uncertainities in the transfer of power from JD(S) in October, at the end of the 20-month tenure of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, as per the pre government formation agreement."

He said that none of the questions raised by the media on it would be replied by him now.

"I have the responsibility to speak on the issue and would do on the day of transfer of power on October three," he said.
