Lucknow, July 19 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today denied recieving any offer from Amitabh Bachchan on surrendering his land in Daulatpur village in Barabanki district.
Principal secretary to chief minister Shailesh Krishna said here that the government had received no such letter from Mr Bachchan so far.
He, however, said as the matter was sub-judice, government had no role even if Mr Bachchan surrendered the agricultural land till the court's decision on the case.
Meanwhile, chief standing counsel Devendra Upadhaya told mediapersons here that Mr Bachchan had not filed any application in the court and his proposal would not at all be discussed till the title suit on the gram sabha land was disposed.
''If at this stage Mr Bachchan withdraws his petition challenging the Faizabad commissioner court's decision on the Dalautpur land, then automatically he will have to agree that the transfer was illegal'', he maintained.
