Tata Consultancy Services top IT employer

Mumbai July 19: Software Services Company, Tata Consultancy Services is the top IT-ITES employer in India, followed by Infosys Technologies and Wipro Technologies.

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) released the rankings of the top 20 IT-ITES employers in India for financial year 06-07 today.

These 20 companies collectively employ over 500,000 people out of the 1.6 million are employed directly in the industry.

The rankings are based on the India-based headcount of firms with IT-ITES operations in India, as reported to Nasscom in its annual survey.

TCS first quarter net up by 0.7 per cent

Kolkata, Jul 16: Tata Consultancy Services today reported net profit at Rs 1,203 cr, up 36.3 per cent year on year basis. Total Revenues of the company was reported at Rs 5,203 cr, up 25.2 per cent Y-o-Y basis. The company reported EPS at Rs 12.29 in the first quarter.
