SC pulls up TN govt; stays Madras HC order

New Delhi, July 19 (UNI)The Supreme Court today pulled up Tamil Nadu government for arbitrarily keeping about 400 candidates out of counselling for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses and stayed the Madras High Court order keeping these students out of the ongoing admission process.

A bench comprising Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan, Justice RV Raveendran and Justice Dalveer Bhandari also issued notices to the state of Tamil Nadu and the secretary, State selection

Lucknow, Mar 5 (ANI): Poll banners and hoardings are being hurriedly pulled down from government buildings in Lucknow, after the Election Commission announced general election dates."When the dates were announced by the Election Commission, we started this activity in Lucknow. The Election Commission has sent a message that banners, flags and hoardings should be put up only according to the rules and norms.Many such hoardings were put up by different parties.
