Prism Cement to take 74 pc stake in insurance JV

New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) Prism Cement Ltd today said it will invest Rs 74 crore to take 74 per cent stake in a joint venture (JV) with Australia's QBE International (Investments) Pty Ltd.

The new JV company would, subject to all regulatory approvals, be engaged in general insurance business in the country, the company said in a statement.

UTI launches Infrastructure Advantage Fund

Kochi, Nov 15: UTI Mutual Fund today announced the launch of the UTI Infrastructure Advantage Fund-Series I, with an objective to invest predominantly in equity and equity-related instruments in companies engaged either directly or indirectly in the infrastructure growth of the country. The NFO for the three year close-ended equity scheme opened on November 12, will close on December 19, 2007. The scheme with a minimum investment of Rs 5,000 is open to resident individuals, institutions, NRIs and FIIs, said Marketing.....

Singapore, Apr 12: Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath today called on multinational companies based in Singapore to help develop further Indian businesses. Addressing the Global Business Leaders Lecture at the inaugural session of the Connecting India Summit here, Mr Nath said India offered a market beyond the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region to Singapore.''I believe Mumbai, along with Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai will become a global financial centre,'' he said in a follow on to Prime Minister Manmohan.....
