Orchid first quarter net zooms 251.54 per cent

New Delhi, July 19: Pharma company Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said it has registered a 251.54 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 51.29 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as against Rs 14.59 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

The total income of the company grew from Rs 202.49 crore in Q1FY06 to Rs 291.3591 crore during Q1FY07, a press release said.

The consolidated net profit stood at Rs 48.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 10.83 crore in the same period previous year.

Mumbai, May 12: The cement major J K Cement Ltd posted net profit of 448 per cent for 2006-07 and announced a dividend of Rs 3.50 per share here. New Delhi, May 11: Pharma major Novartis India Ltd today posted a net profit of 19.40 per cent at Rs 23.87 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 19.99 crore for the same period last year.Total income registered a growth of 19.02 per cent at Rs 144.64 crore for Q4FY07 from Rs 121.52 crore for the same quarter last year.The company's net profit stood at Rs 88.55 crore for the fiscal ended March.....
