Kolkata, Jul 19 (UNI) NIIT has partnered with Delhi Public School (DPS), Ruby Park branch, to offer its integrated computer education programme, 'NIIT@School' to the school children.
A computer learning centre was inaugurated at DPS today by president of Schools Learning Solutions Business, NIIT, L Balasubramaniam.
Speaking on the occasion, Pro-Vice Chairman of the school Alok Tibrewal said, ''DPS will integrate NIIT's computer aided learning solution into the school curriculum to give the children access to world class IT education and tools that will facilitate better learning of subjects.'' ''We will provide the students of DPS holistic training which includes teacher's training programmes, innovative learning methods, integration of the school curriculum into our programmes and coverage of key subjects like Mathematics and Science,'' Mr Balasubramaniam said.
''NIIT will also introduce its national level chess championship under NIIT Mind Champions Academy, a joint initiative with World No One Chess Player Vishwanathan Anand,'' Mr Balasubramaniam added.
