Murray to return from injury at Legg Mason Classic

London, July 19: Briton Andy Murray will return from injury at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington at the end of July after being given the all-clear by his doctor.

''Washington's where I'm gonna play next,'' said the Scot, who has slipped to 14th in the world rankings having not played since hurting his wrist at the Hamburg Masters in May.

''Bottom line is I'm getting much better. My wrist's responded really well to all the treatment, and the careful approach I've taken with it,'' the 20-year-old added on his personal website (www.andymurray.com) today.

Murray, who will travel to the U.S. this weekend, missed the French Open and Wimbledon because of the injury and had hoped to return in Los Angeles this week before delaying his comeback.

Wimbledon champion fuels match-fixing debate

Paris, Oct 31: Wimbledon doubles champion Michael Llodra fuelled the debate on alleged match-fixing in tennis by saying today he had been asked to throw a match four years ago. ''I was in my hotel room and somebody called to ask me not to try too hard the next day,'' Llodra told French radio. ''That was four years ago. I said 'no' and hung up. Now, with what has happened since, I think maybe be I was one of the first.....
