Kolkata, July 19 (UNI) Kolkata and its adjoining areas received moderate rainfall since last night.
The Alipore Met office recorded about 32.8 mm rainfall throughout the day.
The partly cloudy sky and few spells of rain or thunder showers lowered the temperature and provided some relief from the hot sultry weather.
The maximum temperature recorded was 30.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal and the minimum was 25.5 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.
The humidity was high at 97 per cent.
