Kamal to take 'Bush avatar' for 'Dasaavatharam'

Chennai, July 19 (UNI) US President George Bush is to 'make his debut' in Kollywood, not literally though.

But through ace actor Kamal Hassan, who is playing the mercurial and often controversial American President in his latest flick 'Dasaavatharam', now under production.

According to the filmmakers, the role of George Bush being portrayed as one among the ten characters being played by Kamal, was a key character in the storyline.

And to look like Bush to the boot, Kamal, as had been his practice, had a specially skilled makeup man from the US donning him up for the role, which had attracted attention in the local media.

A few sequences in which Kamal portrayed Bush were being shot in a magnificent recreation of the White House at Capitol Hill in Washington DC. The set, created by another Kollywood celebrity, Art Director Thotta Tharani, was put up at the erstwhile Film City here in South Chennai.

Contrary to reports appearing in local media that Kamal would appear as Bush in the film for just ten minutes, sources close to the actor said it was a key character in the film and not a minor one.

The role of Bush in 'Dasaavatharam' apparently comes as another example of Kamal's penchant for variety. Kamal's portrayal of a female dwarf character as well as a giant male in the film also vouches for the fact.

The shooting of the film would be completed next month and the release of the film would be decided after the post production work, Kamal told the media recently.
