Jeweller's son kidnapped in Bareilly for Rs one crore ransom

Lucknow, July 19 (UNI) In a sensentional act, unidentified criminal kidnapped a seven-year-old child of a jeweller for Rs one crore ransom in Bareilly town today.

Sivek Agarwal, a student of standard one of St Andrews Public School at Bareilly was abducted at around 0830 hrs outside his residence under Civil Lines police station, when he was going to school.

Just after the kidnapping, the family members of the boy recieved two calls from the kidnappers demanding Rs one crore as ransom for the release of the boy, police said.

Sivek's father Shiv Om Agarwal is the owner of Jhankar Jewellers in the town.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot, while the Special task Force (STF) have been pressed into service for the early release of the boy.

However details are awaited.

Al Qaeda militant behind 7/7 London attacks arrested in Pakistan
