JAJAH brings intl voice calls @ Rs 3.1 per min

New Delhi, July 19: US-based telecom solution provider JAJAH today announced a service that reduces rates for calls to and from India, North America and the UK at a cost of Rs 3.1 per minute.

JAJAH is an innovative and simple way to make cheap calls using the Internet and without headphones, microphones or software downloads, said a press release.

''The Indian consumer today wants to stay connected to friends, family and associates, and wants to do that in the most intelligent, affordable way. By harnessing the intelligence of the Internet, and delivering superior-quality, cut-rate phone service over any phone, JAJAH is helping Indians all over the world to connect in the most sensible way,'' said a partner at venture fund Globespan and an investor in JAJAH Venky Ganesan.

To register for the service, consumers have to go to www.jajah.com, where they simply have to enter their numbers and the number they wish to call. JAJAH calls back both parties, over any phone line.

The offer is valid from now until the Independence Day on August 15.
