New Delhi, July 19: ICI India today said it has posted a net profit of Rs 22.88 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007.
The total income of the company was at Rs 239.87 crore for Q1FY07, a press release said.
However, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 18.16 crore in the same quarter last year and a total income of Rs 236.72 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
The figures for the quarter are not directly comparable with those for the corresponding period of the previous year due to the divestment of Uniqema business in August 2006, the release added.
During the quarter, sales from continuing businesses were up by 15 per cent, and segment profit increased by 29 per cent.
