Gold closes at six weeks high on bullish advice

Mumbai, July 19: Spot gold today closed at six weeks high and silver ruled firm on sustained demand and encouraging advices from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,160 (17,900), Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,825 (8,765) Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,875 (8,815).
