Compensation increased to five hectors:Dr Kadam

Mumbai, Jul 19(UNI) Maharashtra relief rehabilitation minister Dr Patangrao Kadam today said the government would give compensation upto five hectares at Rs 25,000 per hectare to farmers, whose crops were damaged in the recent floods.

Making a statement on calling attention notice given by Ranjitsingh Mohite Patil (NCP) and others, Dr Kadam said earlier it was announced that the compensation would be given upto two hectares.

Dr Kadam said the government would try to give every possible help to the flood affected victims.

Bhopal, Jan 14: Several thousand families displaced due to many dams on the Narmada river and facing lack of regular employment near their rehabilitation sites in Madhya Pradesh will be given employment under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
