ACC second quarter net dips 15 per cent

New Delhi, July 19: Cement manufacturer ACC Ltd today said it has posted a 15 per cent decline in its net profit to Rs 351.24 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2007 as against Rs 413.24 crore in the same quarter last year.

The total income increased to Rs 1,896.25 crore in Q2FY07 from Rs 1,481.01 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year, a press release said.

Allahabad Bank to raise Rs 500 cr in 2nd quarter

Kolkata, Jul 12: In a bid to meet BASEL II standard on 31st March, 2008, Allahabad Bank, a leading public sector bank, will raise Rs 500 crore in the second quarter of 2007-08 to maintain the CAR of 12 per cent. Speaking to mediapersons here today, Allahabad Bank Managing Director A C Mahajan said, '' The bank has headroom to raise Rs 1650 crore. Out of this Rs 950 crore will be Upper Tier II and Rs 650 crore.....

Vijaya Bank's total business zooms by 33.73 pc

Tirupati, Nov 8: Public sector Vijaya Bank's total business has increased from Rs 51,581 crore to Rs 68,980 crore, up by 33.73 per cent, while its net profit in the second quarter of the current fiscal grew to Rs 216 crore from Rs 174.96 crore during the corresponding quarter last year, its Chairman and Managing Director Prakash P Mallya has said. Speaking on the occasion of shifting the bank's Tirupati branch to a new premises here yesterday, he said the earning.....
