Bangalore, July 18: The Australian immigration authorities have cancelled the visa of Firdous Arshya, wife of Dr Mohammed Haneef who currently under detention there after a Melborne court let him out on bail after he was charged with extending support to terrorists.
Confirming this Firdous' father Ashwaq said that the family had received a communication from the Australian Immigration authorities last night. Commenting on the latest move Firdous said ''I don't care about my visa. My only concern is the safe return of my husband after clearing all the charges which have been falsely slapped on him".
Firdous, mother of a three week old baby, said she was not interested in going to Australia and was thinking of sending her cousin if he could get a visa.
The latest from the Australian front was that they would be treating Haneef as a 'terrorist' and he was now confined to solitary imprisonment. He would spend 23 hours in a day in solitary confinment.
Meanwhile, sources in Bangalore police said the Kafeel Ahmed, the main accused Indian in the Glasgow attack, was an 'internet freak' and used to surf the net for eight to ten hours a day allegedly browsing through the internet sites pertaining to 'jihad and bomb making technology'.
A high capacity 320 GB hard disc recovered from Kafeel's residence in Banashankari in the city had been sent to Central Forensic Science Labouratory in Hyderabad by the poliec who were awaiting the analysis report from the lab.
The souces said that the family had confirmed that Kafeel, elder brother of Safeel Ahmed, a doctor working in Liverpool now in the London police custody, was hardly sleeping at night and used spend most of his time in front of his computer.
Kafeel is alleged to have driven the flaming Jeep Charokee, filled with fuel canisters, into the Glasgow airport. He is battling for life in a military hospital in England with 90 per cent burns.
