Bangalore, July 17: Some Electronic equipment including a server was gutted in a fire accident that occurred at Room No. 203-A in the second floor of the Vidhana Soudha, the Central Secretariat of the state government here today.
Making a statement on the mishap the floor leader in the Karnataka Legislative Council and Higher Education minister D H Shankara Murthy informed that the mishap was caused due to a short circuit.
He said that some electronic equipment including a server was damaged in the incident and none of the files kept inside the room was damaged. Fire tenders were summoned immediately after the incident and the fire was extinguished.
Earlier Opposition leader in the house H K Patil, informed that a fire accident was noticed in the second floor of the secretariat where the ministry of finance was accommodated.
