Bangalore, July 16: Growing by stature every year, the 10th edition of the annual mega IT event 'Bangalore IT.in', to be held in the city from October 28 to November one, will have the theme 'Gateway to Asia' highlighting the dominant role India played in the ICT sector to emerge leader in the continent.
Talking to newsmen here Karnataka Secretary for Information Technology and Biotechnology M N Vidyashankar said, "In keeping with the changing needs of the industry, this year's theme will help leverage Asia's unique ICT ecosystem".
The event would be a conference led event on various relevant topics, unlike the previous editions where the emphasis was more on the exposition, he said.
He said the event would also seek to outline emerging opportunities for joint collaboration with other countries in Asia.
Mr J Parthasarathy, Director of the Software Technology Parks of India-Bangalore said that the show would highlight India's large ICT talent and end-to-end capabilities across the value chain. The country was the destination of choice on parameters such as talent suitability, maturity and business environment. "It is our endeavour to make Bangalore IT.in-2007 a platform for participants to understand the unique information technology ecosystem available in the country, he added.
He said the agenda of the event would be to provide a forum to exchange knowledge on ICT and cutting edge developments in Asia.
