Puducherry, July 16 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today distributed financial assistance for marriage, inter-caste marriage and construction of houses under the Adidravidar welfare department.
Mr Rangasamy disbursed Rs 2.04 crore to 647 beneficiaries at a function held here.
Welfare Minister M Kandasamy who presided over the function said the administration would take legal ation against the anganwadi workers who were continuing their strike. Certain measures should be taken to revamp some of the departments, he said.
He said he had made surprise visits to some of the departments where the employees failed to report for duty at 1000 hrs and the HODs were asked to initiate action against such late comers.
