Srinagar, July 15: Two Special Police Officers (SPOs) were wounded when suspected militants attacked a police station in north Kashmir with rifle grenades last night, official sources said today.
They said the militants fired two rifle grenades from an unknown destination at the Sopore police station in Baramulla district.
While one of the grenades missed the intended target and exploded without causing any damage, the other one went off near the police station building, causing injures to two SPOs, identified as Showkat Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad, the sources added.
