Sugar rises by Rs 5 per quintal in Kolhapur market

Kolhapur, July 9 (UNI) Prices of M30 and S30 grades of sugar rose by Rs five per quintal to Rs 1345/1350 and Rs 1335/1340 per quintal respectively in the Kolhapur sugar market.

There was no trading in the Kolhapur gur market and Sangli turmeric futures market today.

Turmeric spot rate remained unchanged at Rs 2225 per quintal, according to market sources.

Chandigarh, Oct 30: The Punjab Cabinet today gave a green signal to impose four per cent entry tax on sugar imported from outside the state. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here. The move is aimed at safeguarding the interest of local sugar industries. Diabetics can control blood sugar by consuming low glycemic index diet

Washington, Jan 21 (ANI): Patients with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes can effectively control their blood glucose levels by following a low glycemic index diet, according to a new study.During the study, the reviewers found that blood glucose levels decreased by 0.5 percent with a low GI diet."The glycemic index (GI) is a way of ranking foods, particularly carbohydrates, according to how quickly they affect the blood glucose levels in the body when they are eaten,".....
