Light rains hit Delhi again, cool down city

New Delhi, July 9 (UNI) Light rains hit Delhi today, maintaining the coolness in the weather in the city, even as the weatherman forecast some heavy showers in the capital in the next 48 hours.

The showers, which lashed the city this afternoon, followed a heavily overcast sky since the morning. The rains, coupled with cool winds, brought the mercury down by several degrees.

The minimum was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.

Although only 0.4mm of rainfall was recorded till 1430 hours, the Met office have forecast some heavy showers in Delhi and other parts of Northwest India during the next three days.

''The current meteorological analysis suggests that scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is likely over Northwest India during the next three days,''the Met office said.

The weather office have forecast a generally cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.

TataSky in Delhi HC on Sun's denial to share feed

New Delhi, Feb 26: Direct-To-Home satellite TV operator TataSky has approached the Delhi High Court, seeking directions to broadcaster Sun TV to share its feed. In its petition, TataSky has alleged that Sun TV was violating the regulations of broadcast regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.Senior officials at TRAI said, "As per section 3.2 of TRAI regulations, no broadcaster can deny signals to any DTH operator or service provider. If anyone denies it, he will be taken to court.".....
