Left parties demand ouster of Koda-led UPA govt in Jharkhand

Ranchi, July 9 (UNI) The Left parties, extending outside support to the Madhu Koda-led UPA ministry in Jharkhand, today demanded ouster of the government and mid-term polls in the state.

They also decided to launch a mass awareness campaign to expose the "alleged corrupt regime" for its failure to hold panchayat poll on time.

A joint meeting of the Left parties was held here chaired by CPI state general secretary and MP Bhubaneshwar Mahto.

He said the government had failed to deliver the goods and betrayed public sentiments. He also announced to launch 'jan andolan' demanding implemnetation of their 15-point agenda.

Some main demands include holding of civic polls, proper public distribution system, eradication of coruption and unemployment.

They would meet again on August 19 to review the proposed stir.

Hiddink firm about not extending stay at Chelsea
