Khandu expresses shock over Chandrashekhar's death

Itanagar, July 9 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu has expressed grief over the demise of former prime minister Chandrashekhar in New Delhi after his prolonged illness.

Conveying sincere and heartfelt condolence on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh to late Chandrasekhar's son Pankaj Singh, Mr Khandu said adding Chandrashekharji named ''Young Turk'' for his conviction and courage, always stood against politics of personality and stoutly opposed policies of liberalization, reflecting the socialist ideology.

Late Chandrashekhar was known for his flawless oratory and a matter-of-fact style in which he pulled no punches. He would be hard-hitting in his criticism when the occasion demanded. He was also a great patriot and a social thinker.

Mr Khandu added ''In his death, the nation has lost a great leader, a true nationalist and visionary.'' UNI

India wants to crush PoK: Lashkar chief Saeed

Muzaffarabad, Dec.8 (ANI): The chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, the political wing of the banned militant organization, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has accused India of wanting to destroy Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.Saeed told Geo News that the ongoing operation in Pakistan Kashmir was under Indian pressure, and this was unwarranted.Saeed further said that the targeting of Kashmiri organizations without any proof was an expression of weakness.Earlier, wanted Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander, Zakiur Rehman Lakhwi was reportedly arrested by Pakistani army personnel.....
