Mumbai, July 9 (UNI) Copper and Zinc slab rose on better buying support, while tin slab and nickel declined on poor demand even as the London Metal Exchange edged up on good industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.
In ferrous category : copper heavy rose by Rs 300 per quitnal on reduced stock supply.
In non-ferrous category : zinc slab was up by Rs 300 per quintal on increase of fresh demand.
Tin slab and nickel cathode fell by Rs five and Rs ten per kg respectively on poor demand.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 35,500, Copper utensils - Rs 32,100, Brass utensils - Rs 25,700, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,600 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,400.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,800, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,500, Zinc slabs - Rs 18,500, Lead ingots - Rs 10,500, Tin slab - Rs 690 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,640 (per kg).
