Chandra Shekhar's funeral at Ekta Sthal tomorrow

New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) The funeral procession of late Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar will commence tomorrow at 1600 hrs from his South Avenue residence and end at Ekta Sthal.

The full state funeral will take place at 1700 hrs at Ekta Sthal, an official release said here today.

The route of the funeral procession will be as follows: South Avenue Lane: T/R South Avenue: T/R Tyagraj Marg: R/A Rajaji Marg: K. Kamraj Marg: R/A Sunehari Masjid: Maulana Azad Road: Akbar Road: T/L 'C' Hexagon: T/L Tilak Marg (W) Point: (A) Point: Bahadurshah Zafar Marg: Delhi Gate Crossing: T/R JLN Marg: Rajghat Crossing: T/L Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Ring Road): Shanti Van Chowk: Ring Road against flow of traffic: T/R and enter Samadhi area As a mark of respect to the departed leader, the national flag will fly at half-mast for seven days ( July 8-14) to observe state mourning.

The body of the leader will lie in state from 0900 hrs onwards at his residence.

All the Central Government offices/establishments will remain closed on July 9 after 0130 hrs to facilitate the mourners to join the funeral.
