Tiruchirapalli, July 7: Plastic goods and furniture worth about Rs 17 lakh were destroyed in a fire which broke out in two godowns at Pugal Nagar in Kattur area on the city outskirts today.
Police said the fire, which broke out in a plastic goods godown, spread to an adjacent room where a private company had stored its furniture.
Fire tenderes extinguished the flames, police added.
