2 ultras killed, jawan hurt in Kishtwar encounter

Jammu, July 6: Two militants were killed and an army jawan was wounded in an ongoing encounter at Chhatroo area in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, army sources said.

The troops of 11 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), acting on specific information about presence of dreaded militant Sher Khan in Gujjar Pul village, started a search operation this morning, Army spokesperson Col DK Badola told sources.

Jawan, Satish Kumar was seriously wounded during the operation which was still continuing, the sources said.

The slain militants have been identified as Mohammad Sultan and Mohammad Ashraf. One AK 47 has recovered from their possession.

Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Udhampur-Doda range Lalat Indu Mohanty told the sources that slain ultras were not listed as militant.

India, Pak Auditors General discuss cooperation

New Delhi, Mar 13: India and Pakistan today agreed to strengthen cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of the two countries in areas of public audit and accounts. Pakistan's Auditor General Mohammed Yunis Khan, currently on a five-day visit o India, met Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vijayendra Kaul and discussed with him ways to strengthen cooperation between the SAIs of the two countries. Mr Khan who arrived here yesterday, also met senior officials.....
