Bpmbay HC asks police to probe complaints against Jet Airways

Mumbai June 21 (UNI) The Bombay High Court has directed the city police commissioner to investigate into complaints and file a report within four weeks regarding allegations that Jet Airways has connections with the underworld.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Swantrata Kumar and Justice S T Dharmadhikari issued the directive to the police commissioner on a PIL filed by one Mohd Furquan.

Hyderabad, May 17: A Radio station, run by the Reliance group, distributed sipper bottles to traffic policemen to help them beat the heat of the scorching sun and alleviate their misery. Guwahati, Aug 8: A move is afoot to promote tourism in the rhino habitat at Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary, nearest to the state's capital city. A joint team of state forest and tourism departments would be sent soon to assess the infrastructure requirement of the wildlife park to cater to tourists' needs.The habitat of one-horned Asiatic rhinoceros at Pabitora sanctuary is just about an hour's drive from here. Tourists running out of time to visit the famed rhino habitat.....

Pakistan puts LeT founder under arrest

Islamabad, Aug 10: Pakistani authorities have put the founder and former head of the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group under house arrest in the eastern city of Lahore, group's spokesman said today.Hafiz Mohammad Saeed resigned almost five years ago from Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group suspected of involvement in the Indian rail blasts of July 11 that killed over 180 people, to become head of a charity called Jamaat-ud-Dawa, regarded as its sister organisation.The United States has designated both as terrorist organisations......
