Chennai, June 16: Now Periyar's life and times can be viewed on mobile phones thanks to 'Mobile Veda' of the VIT University at Vellore which launched an e-book on the rationalist leader which can be downloaded on to mobiles.
The e-book containing the complete biography, had been specifically developed for mobile phone users who can download it free of cost.
It also contains video content which can be exchanged with other mobile phone users using 'Blue Tooth' and 'Infra Red' technology.
The company also launched WAP service on the Tamil film 'Periyar' on the film website 'www.periyar.org/movie.' The details of the cinema can be downloaded on to mobile phones which have the web browsing facility.
Apart from this, Periyar's famous book 'Pen Yean Admyi Annal', (why women became slave?) can also be downloaded.
