Chennai, June 14 (UNI) Tata Indicom, the country's fastest growing telecom service provider, today announced the launch of 'Freedom Call Voucher', offering free and unlimited outgoing calls to any local Tata (fixed and mobile) phone.
Launching the new scheme, Mr Ravinder Taneja, company's Head South, Consumer Business unit, told newspersons here that the voucher was available at just Rs 325 for 30 days and provided Rs 150 bonus talk time for other calls. It also offered attractive rates for calling local mobiles of other service providers at 49 paise per minute.
He said a range of attractive colour handsets like Huawei C 2285, at Rs 1,499, Haier D1200 at Rs 1,799 and and Kyocera Topaz at Rs 1,999 have also been introduced.
He pointed out that the go active regular starter pack (priced at Rs 299) entitled the customer to free incoming facility for an year and 1,000 minutes of Tata to Tata calls, valid for six months.
To a question, Mr Taneja said the prepaid mobile segment had emerged as the most important segment of the Indian mobile market and constituted 92 per cent of incremental mobile market share.
They were confident that the offer would be able to repeat the success achieved by their non-stop mobile and redefine the existing benchmarks in the pre-paid market, he added.
