Mumbai: Four suspected bookies held

Mumbai, June 10: City police arrested four suspected bookiesfrom the Malwani area in suburban Malad for allegedly betting on theongoing second Afro-Asia Cup.

''We have arrested some bookies, and they are being interrogated,'' a Malwani Police Station official told UNI.

He, however, did not specify the number of bookies arrested nor divulged any other detail.

The three-match day-night one-day international series in the second editions of the Afro-Asian Cup is being held in India.

Asia XI has already clinched the Cup with a 31-run victory overAfrica XI in the second one-dayer of the Cup held in Chennai today.

The first one-dayer was played at Bangalore on June 6 and won by Asia XI by 34 runs.

The third and final match of the Cup is to be played tomorrow at Chennai.

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'

Islamabad, Dec 5: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's Adviser on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, has that India has only sought 3 terrorist suspects and not 20 as has been reported by the media.He also said that the list submitted by the Indian Government does not include the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the head of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is being accused of masterminding last week's Mumbai terror attacks  that claimed nearly 200 lives and caused injuries to nearly.....
