Teenaged girl dies after falling from tree

Rajkot, Jun 8 (UNI) A teenaged girl was killed when she fell from a tree at Ratadia village in Wankaner Taluka of the district.

The victim -- Champa Sindhabhai (14) -- had climbed a tree to pluck fruits when she lost balance and fell on the ground, police today said.

She was admitted to a private hospital in Wankaner and later shifted to Rajkot Civil Hospital here where she died of brain haemorrhage, yesterday.

Baghdad, Dec 30: A US soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad, the US military said today, bringing the number of US military deaths in Iraq since the beginning of the war to at least 2,996. Bihar; 40 feared killed as bus falls into Ganga

Hajipur (Bihar), Dec 30: At least 40 people were feared killed when a private bus jumped the rallings of Mahatma Gandhi Setu over the Ganga and plunged into the river early today.
