Parbhani girl tops the merit list in Aurangabad division

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, June 8 (UNI) Parbhani girl Veena Vijayrao Kulkarni of Bal Vidyamandir Junior College topped the list of merit holders in Aurangabad division of the Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Board, securing 97 per cent marks.

Jehurkar Prasad Praphulrao of S B Science college and Jain Harshal Deepakkumar stood second and third by securing 96.33 and 94.33 per cent marks respectively.

Out of 84,516 candidates, who appeared for the HSC exam at 223 centers, 62,017 were declared successful, taking the passing percentage of the division to 73.38 per cent.

A total of 55,849 male and 84,516 female candidates had appeared for the examination conducted in February-March, while 22,349 girls and 39,668 male candidates were declared successful.
