Panel to meet late evening tomorrow to pick new coach:BCCI

Chennai, June 8 (UNI) The BCCI search committee meeting to select either South African Graham Ford or former England off-spinner John Emburey as team India's new 'foreign' coach will be held tomorrow evening.

''It will be held around 1900 hrs at a five star hotel, because one of the panel members and former skipper Sunil Gavaskar is likely to arrive here tomorrow by an evening flight''. a top BCCI official told UNI here today.

He said, ''At present Gavaskar was in Goa. He will come only tomorrow evening. The meeting will be held only after he comes''.

However, a final decision on when to convene the meeting would be taken by BCCI President Sharad Pawar, who would be arriving here tonight, the official said.

''If the President says Ok let's go ahead with the meeting, then we might have it earlier'', he said and added that the all important meeting would either be held at Taj Coromandel or the Park Sheraton hotel.

The venue would be decided after a meeting with Mr Pawar, who will be hosting a dinner for delegates tonight.
