Jamnagar, June 8: A fuction to mark the golden jubilee year celebrations of Gujarat's first eveninger 'Nobat', which is published from Jamnagar, was held here.
The eveninger entered the golden jubilee year on May 14 this year.
The function that was organised last evening, was attended by State Chief Minister Narendra Modi and State BJP President Parshotam Rupala.
'Nobat', is one of the leading eveningers in Jamnagar and has its own website, which allows people from across the globe to access this newspaper. The paper has achieved a pride certificate from the Audit Bureau of Circulation.
The eveninger has also participated in social work activities especially during calamities that struck the State.
Mr Modi offered his best wishes to the eveninger's management and its staff for the 50 year service that they rendered to the people and for working towards protecting the democratic value.
