IMFL worth Rs 28,000 seized in Kheda

Nadiad, Jun 8 (UNI) Police have seized IMFL worth Rs 28,000 near the Katlal-Kapadvanj railway crossing, 25 km from here.

A patrolling team of policemen intercepted a car and seized the liquor last night after they found the vehicle moving suspiciously.

Police have arrested a man identified as Pragnesh Mahesh Rami.

His accomplice Mahesh Vora, however, managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

Vadodara, Jul 27: The district authorities destroyed seized liquor worth Rs 1.18 crore. Over 15 brands of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) were bulldozed in an open ground in the Makarpura GIDC estate. The drive began at 1000 hrs, in which IMFL, seized during 1999, 2004/05 and 2006, was destroyed. Those present at the spot included Makarpura PI SP Sagar and his staff, mamlatdar and court officials. Guj: 3 held, IMFL seized

Jamnagar (Gujarat), Aug 30: Police have arrested three persons and seized 240 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a jeep near Kajurdia village, 65 kms away from here. Police said that acting on a tip off, the jeep was stopped near Kajurdia village under Khambhaliya taluka last night. Upon a search, the 240 bottles of IMFL, valued at Rs 96,000, were found. The police have also seized three mobiles and the vehicle. The arrested have been identified as Kalpesh Jayant.....
