Couple killed, 4 injured in road mishap

Phagwara, June 8 (UNI) A couple was killed on the spot and four people were injured when a motorcycle was hit by a speeding car near Zandiala Manjki village on the Phagwara-Nakodar road.

The deceased were identified as Gurdawar Singh and Rajwinder Kaur. Their bodies were sent to the civil hospital for postmortem.

The couple was returning to Dhaliwal village on a motorcycle.

The car overturned after hitting the motorcycle and fell into a roadside ditch, police said, adding four occupants of the car were injured.
