Mumbai, May 23: Haseena Parkar, sister of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, today complained of uneasiness while a local court was hearing her anticipatory bail application in an extortion case.
When the court began proceedings today, special public prosecutor Rohini Salian was engaged in arguing against bail.
The special public prosecutor narrated to court the trouble faced by the police in tracing Haseena Parkar after an FIR was lodged against her in the extortion case.
The special public prosecutor told court that the police had first visited Haseena's Nagpada residence where they were met by Haseena's daughter who feigned ignorance about her mother's whereabouts. Thereafter, police went to Mumbra in Thane district, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh in search of Haseena, the special public prosecutor told court.
At this stage, Haseena complained of uneasiness following which additional sessions judge N D Deshpande asked her to go to the adjoining court room and relax.
