Shimla, May 23: Himachal Pradesh's Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda today said a committee has been constituted to receive applications from political parties and organisation for certification of advertisements on a television channels, cable networks and radio for the June two Hamirpur Lok Sabha bye-polls.
The Additional Chief Electoral Officer would be the Chairman, while DC Hamirpur also the Returning Officer or DC Bilaspur the Assistant Returning Officer (DC) Bilaspur and All India Radio Shimla Station Director would be the others member of the committee, she said in a release here.
Ms Nanda said the committee would receive applications for certification of advertisements by all registered political parties, which have their head quarters in the state.
Another committee has also been constituted to receive complaints, grievances from any political party or candidates or any other person in regard to the decision to grant or refuse certification of advertisements, she said.
She said Shimla Chief Electoral Officer would be the Chairperson of this committee, while Expenditure Observer for the parliamentary seat and Shimla DD Station Director would be the other members of the committee.
