Srinagar, May 22: Two top militants of the Pakistan-based Jaish-E-Mohammed(JeM) were killed today by the police and the Rashtriya Rifles(RR) in south Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
He said troops of 55 RR and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at Kesrigam Kakpora in the south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
During the operation, militants opened fire at the security forces.
In the encounter, two militants, identified as Wasim, a resident of Pakistan and Arshid Dar were killed.
Two AK Rifles and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
